In a class at Earlham School of Religion, the professor asked whether or not Quakers facilitated Convincement among our youth. If so, how did it look, and if not, what are we missing by not doing it?

The resounding answer? No. Definitely not. And, it’s not cool.

Meanwhile, Maggie was pondering the coincidence of early Friends going publicly naked and the public nudity found at some modern Liberal Friends’ institutions. Is there something going on here?

And so, Clothe Yourself in Righteousness was born.

It felt like a Leading. Maggie sensed it was more than just a term paper. A pamphlet? An album? Workshops? It felt important. It felt like something that could change us forever.

So here you have it: the love child between Maggie the novice academic and Maggie the faltering, fumbling Friend.

And now, it is time for this ministry to go out in the world, to be shared with you. It’s time to look together at what prophetic Nakedness means for us. It’s time for us to get Naked together, because we want to do what we are Called to—

We want to be clothed in Righteousness.
